The IKEA kitchen hack by KOAK Design!
The IKEA kitchen hack by KOAK Design has been executed perfectly for years. KOAK Design's solid wood fronts are specially made for IKEA METOD kitchen cabinets. This way of working makes it possible to give your standard IKEA kitchen a different look. KOAK + IKEA put together to create a designer kitchen at an affordable price!
The way KOAK Design works
The kitchen doors are made in our workshop. The workshop is located opposite our office and showroom. The minimal distance between our office and workshop staff means that contact between them is smooth. The lines are short and everyone can drop in on each other for a quick chat. The great thing about this way of working is that last-minute changes can still be made, for example.
KOAK Design's fronts
The kitchen fronts that KOAK Design supplies for IKEA METOD are available in oak, bamboo, Barnwood and American walnut. As already mentioned, these fronts are made to measure in our workshop. In addition to being made to measure, the fronts are also provided with the required wood oil and holes are drilled in the kitchen doors. Wood oil offers many possibilities in terms of colours and this ensures a wide range of products. View the complete range of kitchen doors here.

Designing the new kitchen
Designing your new kitchen is easy with the IKEA kitchen planner. This online tool makes it easy for you to design your new kitchen. Can't figure out what to do with the IKEA kitchen planner? No problem! A drawn sketch (with measurements) is also enough for us to start working with!
Making an appointment
After the design is ready, it's time to schedule the appointment. You can do this by filling in a non-binding quotation form or by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. In this form or in this e-mail you can send us your design and further wishes. Then one of our sales people will contact you to make an (online) appointment.
We love nature's design
Our oak wood is solid in order to preserve its unique natural look. This means that there are knots in the wood and that the annual rings are visible at the end of the wood, unlike veneers or wood built up in layers.
We work mainly with European oak and bamboo. The wood we use is FSC-certified. Both are natural materials that are already very beautiful without treatment. Treatment with a protective oil is therefore sufficient for everyday use.
Bamboo has the property of growing very quickly, selective cutting means that, by definition, there is no deforestation. Bamboo has a high degree of hardness, stability and durability.
Mosaic, concrete and natural stone worktops also adapt very well to our kitchens, because each worktop has its own design.
