Measuring

Before you begin with the design of a kitchen it is helpful to first measure up the space. Make a floor plan by drawing a sketch. Take windows and doors into account.

Design

Now that the kitchen space has been measured, the fun work can begin. Before you get started with the 3d IKEA kitchen planner, draw a number of sketches how you would like the kitchen to be.

The width of the IKEA METOD cabinets have standard dimensions, namely 20, 30, 40, 60 and 80 cm. A dishwasher is always 60 cm wide and a sink is often 60 or 80 cm. The dishwasher and the sink are often next to each other.

If you want solid wood kitchen fronts, it is good to know that we make doors with a vertical grain and drawers with a horizontal grain. When we receive the design, we make suggestions to make it a beautiful whole.

Designing a kitchen can be tricky. You can make an appointment with one of IKEA experts and then make the first design of your dream kitchen together. Then send the design to us and our KOAK experts will still see if we can do something extra.

Saving & Sending

The design can be shared with us in 2 different ways.

1. Save the design as a PDF and add the file to the quotation page. You can save the design as a PDF by printing the design and just before you print the design (all views), you can save the design as a PDF.

2. Mail the design immediately from the IKEA kitchen planner, but do not forget to mention your own e-mail address separately in the text field.
