KOAK also offers some specials for the finishing touch. We make floating shelves with lighting, custom-made wine cabinets and solid wood and bamboo drawer fronts for on the Godmorgon bathroom furniture.
It is also possible to order kitchen appliances through us for the KOAK kitchen. Our range includes Quooker taps, BORA hobs with integrated extractor, PITT cooking and integrated sockets from Evoline.
Oak fronts
We work with European oak that is well dried. The wood is made up of strips of solid wood approx. 10 cm wide, so that the natural unique appearance is preserved.
The thickness of the fronts is usually eighteen mm. We respect the natural properties of the wood, which is why the drawers have a horizontal grain and the doors have a vertical grain. The doors and drawer fronts are ready for assembly, all the hinge bores are made to measure.
The oak is treated with an oil. You can choose from different colours, from extra white to black. An oil protects the wood from water and stains and gives your kitchen a unique look. It is also possible to paint the doors yourself.

Bamboo fronts
Our bamboo fronts are made of multi-layer Bamboo board.
Although the giant bamboo called "MOSO" is formally a grass and not a wood, it does have excellent hardwood properties, such as high hardness and durability. In combination with its high stability (low shrinkage & swelling), this creates a perfect raw material for the production of high-quality boards and veneer.
Bamboo is constructed from strips that can be pressed either horizontally (plain pressed) or vertically (side pressed). Alternatively, the logs are first shredded and then pressed into a very hard version (density).
The boards are available in the colours Plain Pressed, Side Pressed, Density (433, 435 and 448 Carbon)
Handles
A kitchen is only complete with beautiful, stylish, designer handles.
Choose from our range of handles, a diverse selection of design. We have classic to handle-less handles. The collection is composed of the latest trends and handles that we think fit well with the wooden fronts.
Side panels
An IKEA kitchen cabinet side panel is used to cover the side of a kitchen cabinet. Side panels are very decisive for the look of the kitchen. In KOAK Design kitchens, for example, side panels of MDF are regularly chosen.
You can opt for panels with the same finish as the kitchen doors or choose a different type of material. Side panels with the same finish create a nice unambiguous look. When you choose a different material from the wooden fronts you create a very unique style.
Sample boards
Not yet sure about the material and colour choice? Then use the option to request sample boards. This way you can make a well-considered choice at home.
Most samples are treated with a different oil on both sides. Some materials only have one finish. The standard size is 15 x 21 cm, whereby two pieces fit into an envelope as a letterbox mailing. We work with solid wood that is 18 mm thick and similar in weight to IKEA METOD doors.
Our doors are made to fit in the same way as IKEA METOD fronts. You can choose between different types of wood and oils.
Specials
Take our concept further! For example, it is also possible to create custom-made wine cupboards. With this built-in wine cupboard you will have a real eye-catcher in your kitchen!
In addition to these built-in wine cupboards, we also supply (hollow) shelves with lighting. These shelves are usually mounted above the countertop. This way, you will always have enough light while cooking!
