Affordable modern kitchen through the IKEA Hack
Looking for a modern kitchen? Then choose KOAK Design. KOAK Design makes wooden fronts for IKEA kitchens. The wooden kitchen doors fit easily on IKEA METOD kitchen cabinets. This way of working is also called the IKEA Hack. This is how we make an affordable designer kitchen possible.
The wooden kitchen fronts
KOAK Design has wooden kitchen fronts of solid oak, bamboo, Barnwood and walnut. These new kitchen doors are made to measure in our workshop. The doors are also oiled and pre-drilled. Should you prefer a handleless kitchen, this can also be realised here. The fronts are thus already fully prepared so that you can easily assemble them yourself. Because of the different types of wood oil, there are many options when it comes to colour. Click here for our overview of kitchen doors.
Different types of modern kitchens
In 2022, there are many options for modern kitchens. An island is often chosen, but a compact corner kitchen is also a popular choice. KOAK Design offers a variety of styles. These include sleek, minimalist kitchens as well as country and industrial designs.
Designing
You can use the IKEA kitchen planner to design your kitchen. On the IKEA planner you can recreate your own kitchen environment and create your new dream kitchen. It is not necessary to use the IKEA kitchen planner. A drawn sketch, with dimensions of the kitchen, is enough to get started.
Request an offer and schedule an appointment
Using the completed IKEA kitchen planner or the drawn sketch, you can request a non-binding quotation from us here. On the basis of this quotation we will have a personal meeting. During this meeting we will discuss the possibilities of realize your kitchen.

We love nature's design
Our oak wood is solid in order to preserve its unique natural look. This means that there are knots in the wood and that the annual rings are visible at the end of the wood, unlike veneers or wood built up in layers.
We work mainly with European oak and bamboo. The wood we use is FSC-certified. Both are natural materials that are already very beautiful without treatment. Treatment with a protective oil is therefore sufficient for everyday use.
Bamboo has the property of growing very quickly, selective cutting means that, by definition, there is no deforestation. Bamboo has a high degree of hardness, stability and durability.
Mosaic, concrete and natural stone worktops also adapt very well to our kitchens, because each worktop has its own design.
