KOAK Design's very first kitchen
The first KOAK kitchen ever is the kitchen of owners Frank & Sandy. They came up with the idea of putting custom-made oak kitchen fronts on IKEA METOD kitchen cabinets (then known as FAKTUM). Once the IKEA kitchen with customised wooden fronts was finished, they thought "maybe this would be fun for other people too!".

Once the IKEA kitchen with customised wooden fronts was finished, they thought "maybe this would be fun for other people too!".
They started with kitchen doors made of oak. Hence the first name K'oak (which later became KOAK) Design. It goes without saying that Frank & Sandy's kitchen is made of solid oak. Partly because the kitchen was installed in an old farmhouse, it is reminiscent of the Modern Country kitchen style. The rural design and look is well emphasised by the wooden beams.
After this first kitchen, it is now just over ten years later and a lot has changed in the course of time. In addition to oak, the range of fronts in terms of colours and types of wood has expanded considerably. The wooden fronts are now also available in bamboo, Barnwood and American Walnut. In addition, we have made many people enthusiastic about our approach. After all, we have already delivered more than three thousand kitchens.

In Frank and Sandy's kitchen, fronts in 301 Natural have been chosen, Koak 1739 handles have been fitted and the concrete top and MDF walls are 10 centimetres thick.
